You believe access to food is a   basic human right.

 We do too.

Ethically produced, handcrafted aprons that empower food lovers to take action for a hunger-free world.

Over 800 million people are hungry. Yet 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted every year. Help us change this ~ one apron at a time.

Imagine a product that fights both, hunger and food waste.

That’s the goal of a Cooks Who Feed Apron, and YOU can be part of the solution.

Cooks Who Feed was founded on a simple premise: To give YOU, the food lover,  the ability to use your purchasing power to make the world a better place.

Empower Female Artisans

We provide safe and fair work to the marginalized women in India who make our handcrafted aprons.

Reduce Food Waste

We partner with charities around the world that rescue and deliver fresh, surplus food to those in need.

Provide 100  Meals

Through our charity partners, we provide 100 nutritious meals to those in need for every apron sold.

Create Superheroes

We transform cooks and food lovers into benefactors and heroes as part of a powerful movement.

“From the moment the fabric hits the sewing machine to the time it ends up in your kitchen, our eco-friendly apron has employed poor women, fed their families, reduced food waste and provided 100 nutritious meals to the hungry. That’s a lot for one apron.”

Together, we are fighting hunger in the most socially responsible way possible. When YOU buy an apron YOU reduce food waste, provide 100 meals, and help give safe & fair work to marginalized women.  That's pretty super!

You Purchase An Apron

Choose from our collection of eco-friendly aprons that are ethically handmade by the marginalized women who make up our production team.

Provide 100 Meals

We share over 35% of the profit from each apron sold with our charity partners who rescue food waste to feed those in need.  100 meals are provided for each apron sold.

You are A Superhero

You know you’ve done a good thing by purchasing an apron, so you get bragging rights– and it looks great in the kitchen and on Instagram!

I was so impressed with the quality of these aprons. A wonderful way to give back to so many people.

Extremely proud to have purchased two aprons from this amazing company! Each apron equals 100 healthy meals! The organization eliminates food waste, feeds the hungry and employs impoverished women and pays them fair wages. The aprons themselves are great quality and very stylish!

Making an important difference... and the aprons are top notch. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Hi, I'm Seema

I love to cook. In fact, many of my fondest memories revolve around sharing a good meal. But as much as food gives me joy, I’ve always been bothered by the number of people who go hungry and do not get to experience food the way that I do. I struggle to live in this world of feast or famine.

A few years ago, I visited an NGO in India that provided paid training and fair, safe work to marginalized women.   After meeting them and seeing them work so hard, I felt compelled to help in some way so that more women could have the same opportunity.

In 2019 I got the idea to help these women while also creating something that I was passionate about, and Cooks Who Feed was born. What better way to fight hunger than with an apron; the uniform of a cook. And now, I work directly with that NGO I visited to produce our aprons.

I never set out to create a company.  I set out to create a movement that would empower foodies everywhere to fight hunger in the most socially responsible way possible.
